Patriotic District Master, Ryan DeHaan

I became a Knight of Columbus Member in mid-2000’s. Have served as Grand Knight of a 3 Star Council and Former District Deputy of 2 Districts.

My service within our fraternal order like many Brother Knights, have been many and in varying capacities, too many to mention.

Currently I am in a role as Regional Growth Director /Membership Program Consultant for Western Canada (covering the BC, AB, SK, MB & NB Jurisdictional States), in Fraternal Mission Department of Supreme Council.

I am blessed with opportunities to be of service to the Order and Communities’ as I engage with Catholic Men and their Families throughout this Province, State, (Districts/Councils and Assemblies) many Jurisdictions and Agencies across the Nation, as well as the Order.

I have also served my Parish; St. Patrick’s in Vancouver in various ways. I sit on the Parish Council as a Senior Leader, volunteered as a Sacristan, share my mechanical expertise to maintain Parish Facilities in and through different Committees. My community service includes assisting and Partnering various Community Ministries, including but not limited to:

Door Is Open/ Food Banks; Block Watch Captain and Vancouver Emergency Support Services; Vancouver Police Department Project Griffon. I am Retired from Psychiatric Nursing and the Royal Canadian Armed Forces.

The greatest service I have provided my family is converting to Catholicism in 2002. It gave me the religious foundation I was missing but did not know I was seeking, and answering God’s call has never led me astray. 

Additionally, through a prayer to God and Blessed McGivney has aligned my life with the opportunity to work within this great Organization called the Knights of Columbus, allowing me to put my Faith into action in my everyday activity’s both at work and my personal life.
