With many families with young children experiencing difficult economic times, the Knights of Columbus instituted the ‘Coats for Kids’ program in 2009. This is an opportunity for councils to become involved in their communities by providing warm winter coats to the children in need there.
In the British Columbia & Yukon state jurisdiction, this program was first rolled out in 2012 and has continued each year since then.
In 2017 coat distribution is planned to start earlier than in previous years, coinciding with Canadian Thanksgiving and our earlier cold season.
Check our Press Release page for more information and announcements regarding this program.
